Empty Bowls
An Important Community Outreach Program
Call to all potters!! Once again we need you. EMPTY BOWLS 2024 is just around the corner—March 2, 2024. Interfaith Community Service will be hosting this years Empty Bowls event again and we need your hand crafted bowls.
“Empty Bowls” is an international initiative to fight hunger. The empty bowl is a symbol of awareness of those in need among us. These bowls are personalized by artists and art organizations on a community level and then provided for the larger community who will generously give to the needs of the marginalized and in need neighbors thru ICS and their food bank. Interfaith Community Services, now with 4 locations around Tucson, has been a part of the Tucson community for 40 years helping people in need achieve stable, healthy and independent lives.
We are relying on not only various studios around the Tucson area but individual potters to supply the bowls that are an integral part of the Empty Bowls event. If you could provide just a few bowls or a lot of bowls—any number of bowls is deeply appreciated. And we will come and pick them up.
