Workshop Registration: Salt Firing with Joni Pevarnik

 

This workshop will be open for up to 8 SACAMembers to register beginning noon on February 15.  All pieces will be made on March 11th.  Joni will Bisque fire, load and fire the salt kiln.  Any pots that won’t fit in the salt kiln will be fired in the cone 10 reduction kiln.

• • Dates: March 11, 2023 (Saturday) for Making, 10:00 to 4:00 pm (1 hour lunch break)
               March 25, 2023 (Saturday) for Firing and Potluck Party
               March 27, 2023 (Monday) for Kiln Opening
• • Location: Joni’s Studio in Vail
• • Fee: $125 members only
• • All clay, slips and firings are included. Bring your favorite tools.
• • This workshop is appropriate for Hand Builders and Wheel Throwers.

You can make as many pots as you’d like during the class time. Joni will bisque fire all your pieces, and load and fire the salt kiln. Any pots that won’t fit in the salt kiln will be fired in the cone 10 reduction kiln.  Learn more about Joni and visit her website.
